FAQs for Betting in Kenya
In all honesty, many bookmaker sites share the same user interface. This makes it hard to see the differences in the sites – so to make it easier for you we have listed a few of the things you should watch out for when choosing a betting site for you.
What should I look at when choosing a betting site?
We normally look at these aspects before recommending a site:
1) The odds a site offers. They can and do vary quite a bit, and normally the odds will be updated after new players have placed their bets. This means that you might get lucky on a site that does not have active players, but we tend to like the ones that offer odds that are close to correct when compared to the market
2) The withdrawal options. Normally, it is fairly easy to deposit funds (crypto deposits to betting sites are another matter), but it is actually more important that you get paid out in a way that works for you.
3) Signup options. Again, the process has to be easy. We don’t like the signups where lots of information is needed, but some jurisdictions to require them.
4) Customer service. Most probably, at some point you will want to have a chat with a service agent – we value 24hr chat availability highly.
5) Amount of games offered. Make sure the better you choose will have the games that you want to bet on. For big league football, this is rarely an issue – but it can be a game changer for smaller league coverage.
Why are there so many different betting sites?
Betting sites are popular – online betting is the easiest way to place a bet. Competition is very good for the industry, and therefore most countries award licenses to several different sites. This keeps odds high and prices low.
Can I play on a site that is not licensed in Kenya?
In fact, it is illegal for the sites to offer their services to Kenyans unless they are properly licensed. Avoid playing at these sites (even through VPN), because your back will not be covered in any future disputes.
